Three Thinkingest Thursday Thoughts

When you're an uptight diner who is condescending to your waitress, and you head out to the parking lot to find a parking ticket, your karma has been well earned.

Schools that have fundraisers every 2 or 3 weeks are making me crazy. While I place a high value on all the extras our school has, I'm up to my eyeballs in cookie dough! Not that I'm complaining, per se, but my waistline is!

There's a special place in the afterlife for designers of adorable fancy socks. Especially those who design argyle ones. Because I love argyle. Seriously. Love argyle.

  1. I agree that mean-to-waitress karma is one of the better, more efficient constructs in this universe. :)

  3. I do not allow my child to participate in those fund raisers where you get a little crap for a lot of money. I phone/email/visit as many businesses as I can to make a HUGE raffle basket for our open house PTA fund raiser, I donate LOTS of baked goods for the bake sale, and I volunteer as often as I can...I do not feel even 1% guilty as my child begs to sell ONLY 35 items so he can enter for a chance to win a ride in a limo ;)

  4. Jessica, you are spot on! I show up for popcorn fridays, pancake man, book fair duty, am a planner for 2 of 3 class parties, chaperone every field trip, come in for every event, send treats for teacher's birthdays, send potluck meals for conference nights, etc. I donate my time and what little money I have as often as possible. Those fundraisers though, with their crappy toy prizes are the pits!
